The twittering little "MURRRPH" sound my cat makes. It's believed by many to be an affectionate thing, like saying, "I love you.". 😻

I don't have especial "favourites" but I do like to hear a flock of starlings chattering to each other. They are very much herd animals, and smaller flocks of them will find local gathering-spots during the day.
One such, near my home, is the top of a telephone-pole with wires radiating to a number of houses nearby, and is very much a place to see and be seen if you are a starling.
Though not usually called a "song-bird", like the very musical blackbird, the starling has a remarkable repertoire of bubbly chirps.
Crows, when foraging, sometimes talk to themselves with a range of quiet chirps and chortles not unlike those of a domestic hen in the same activity.
It does not happen often but I like to hear the frogs croaking in my back garden. This is their mating-call.

I don't know how I'd choose only one, this is akin to asking a parent to choose their favorite child.
Among birds, for instance, I pretty much love every bird I've ever heard, from Carolina wrens to belted kingfishers to pileated woodpeckers to ospreys domestically, plus kookaburras and more abroad. Corvids in particular mimicking humans is pretty amusing too. Virtually no "songbird" I can think of is not pleasing to the ear.
Frogs, cicadas, crickets, bees buzzing, dolphins. Goats are hilarious.
Kitties purring, trilling, chirruping and meowing are a wonderful sound too.

The sound of wild geese is my favorite bird call – mainly because I sometimes wish I could fly with them.

@StarLily I've never heard this before (I'm guessing their range doesn't extend this far east), they sound pretty :)
StarLily · 51-55, F
@ThirstenHowl Yes, they have a very pretty sound about them.🙂
There is an Eastern Meadowlark as well... I'm assuming they may have a similar sound.

@StarLily I listened to the eastern variant and it sounds somewhat familiar, makes me wonder if I've heard one in the wild

Kiwi birds, just because the noise they make seems like it should be coming from something far bigger and scarier.

Cuckoo, which is known for its distinctive call . The name "koel" is derived from its echoic nature, reflecting the sound it makes.

They live here in Wisconsin in spring though fall and migrate south for the winter, usually leaving Wisconsin by late fall and returning in the spring for nesting.
