Don't you really mean to ask what video game took away more of my time than any other?
I would have to say the Nintendo Mario bros/cart and Diddy Kong series ranks high. That since it was introduced when my elder male children were just old enough to derive their hand eye coordination mastery and high performance joysticks weren't yet introduced.
Then the Sony Ps1 system. This for the young daughters interests. It had Ninja grade speed and exercise type functions. This is often a challenge to inspire to young girls. The practical problem solving in the Tomb Raider, I think was a 3 part and a bonus 4th challenge, layered in every element adding an intellectual one for raising the reasoning ability as well.
Of course nothing compares to the time they spent on the TI99 Scott Foresman educational "game challenges" that they all took their turn in getting a great help in their school life. That early system almost broke my very early bank. Way back in 79 when I was the young father of a 2 year old I went into debt to the tune of a couple brand new cars. The cartridges themselves were half a paycheck each for me at the time.
was into call of duty back in the days. bout 10 years ago. i ran into global rank number 1 (server ranked - evryone gets a rank. i was 100,000 something). made him frustrated in a lobby & he challenged me to a 1v1. he lost. again and again.
I don’t have any recorded play time, but I would guess Fallout 4. I played the crap out of it and spent numerous hours playing. I wouldn’t be surprised if my combined play time was, like, a week or even longer.
When my son was younger, he always wanted me to play Call Of Duty with him because he could slaughter me. I practiced, and finally the day came that I was able to destroy him no matter what he did. That was the last time he asked me to play. 🫤😂
