What Cardio to Do and How Much to Lose Fat??

I'm 192 lbs, 5'10", and have a bit of a belly since the start of Covid. I want to get back to 175 and muscular and thinner. What cardio should I do and how much? Ideas?

Swimming is the best, easy on the joints.
You need to be careful with the cardio so you don't overdue it and start cutting into your muscle gains. I run on an elliptical twice a week and on different days I do weight lifting. I also go for walks.
Start slow whatever you do ,to lose fat you need to focus on using more energy than you consume however. Exercise can be counterproductive in that sometimes .

I lost much weight using the elliptical for an hour everyday. You’re using all of your body and it isn’t intense

Diet is the first thing you need to sort out. Exercise is all good and well but your diet is where the real progress comes from. Download an app to count calories and keep track of what you are eating.

I gained weight during Covid too. To shed the flab I did ‘HIIT’ work outs from home every morning and reduced my alcohol consumption to Friday and Saturday nights only. Motivation was simple - felt like fat Thor until my friends started calling me gender-bent-Rosanne Barr
