A friend of the wife lives on Dominica (this is a different island, not the Dominican Republic). A friend of mine by chance actually hired him as a diving instructor when she was there, so small world. Anyway, if you like diving, Dominica is supposed to be pretty great. If you're looking for white sand beaches and luxury resorts, not so much.

I loved Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. The food is generally not good but the sand is like icing sugar and the water is tourmaline blue.

Having been to so many, I think I would return to Puerto Rico. Nice facilties. Some great hiking opportunties. Interesting outer islands to explore. Try a couple days in Vieques for something unigue. The north east coast has some great resorts if you like that sort of thing. Old San Juan always an adventure.

Grand Cayman Island where you can literally go to Hell and visit it in person. Like everywhere in the Caribbean, it's a bit pricey. But it's worth it to go to hell and take the submarine dive.

I suggest taking a 7 night Eastern Caribbean cruise out of Florida. Eastern Caribbean has some nice quaint islands that the ship will stop at. Plus typically their private beach destinations island for the cruise line. I prefer Disney cruise line and they have the Treasure ships doing those routes

St. John is gorgeous and has some of the nicest white sand beaches you'll ever find.

Well it's hard for me to say,i have been on two Caribbean cruises visiting about 7-9 different islands,they are all pretty cool from what i saw,but for me the best part was swimming in the clear blue water. :)

I like Puerto Rico. Prices are cheap if you avoid the tourist trap areas. Which suck anyway. Plus you dont have to have a passport or deal with customs BS.
