tell me your opinion, I'll respect it.

Am I wrong for getting mad at my friends for forcing me to do something I clearly said I didn't want to do?

No, a true friend would not force you into doing something you have an issue with doing.
Nevaeh0081 · 36-40, F
Nope getting mad at that is normal. Though you should be able to do that without derailing your friendship. Good friendships should withstand conflict
imtired · F
@JonLosAngeles66 thanks, I'll keep that in mind
@imtired telling someone his you feel as opposed to what they did to you, is a good way to go. Feelings are honest and give an opportunity to empathize . But blaming puts people on the defensive and can create animosity.

@JonLosAngeles66 yes, thank you
sebunw9 · 18-21, F
Nope. Unless it's for your own good such as taking medicines, exercise, or anything that will help you boost your mental and physical health.
imtired · F
@sebunw9 it is, and thanks
sebunw9 · 18-21, F
@imtired Well, if they we're pressuring you. You all have the rights to get mad. Still you should explain to them that you are also having a hard time adjusting so both you and your friends could come into an understanding.
Crazychick · 36-40, F
If they forced you to do something you clearly said you didn't want to do then they are not your friends, so you have every right to get mad at them for pretending to be your friends in the first place.

{@iamtired] no you are perfectly entitled to say no if you do not want to do something for whatever reason it was that is your freedom of choice
ineedadrink · 51-55, M
Short of it being an intervention because of substance abuse or life threatening activity, no, not at all.
jazlyn88 · 16-17
noo ofc not! they are being rough on you and forcing you to do something you dont want to do. they are in the wrong!!
Nevaeh0081 · 36-40, F

You have every right.

wackidywack · 26-30

No you are not wrong. It is ok to get mad when you are disrespected as a human being.
Sjones13 · 41-45, M
You’re right for being mad at them
specman · 51-55, M
You have every right to be mad!
GuyWithOpinions · 31-35, M
No? You are a free ass human being. Your friends should respect the fact that you dont want to do that.
Crazychick · 36-40, F
@GuyWithOpinions What do you mean when you say his ass is free? I take it you mean his bottom.
GuyWithOpinions · 31-35, M
@Crazychick its just a dramatic filler word to express what i mean
Crazychick · 36-40, F
@GuyWithOpinions Oh, OK. I thought "ass" was an American vulgar slang word for the buttocks, their equivalent of the English "arse". Lol :)
