I wanted to visit every national park.
Can I speak frankly to you? I have every faith in the world that you can find love. You’re a wonderful person and I just know there’s someone, even multiple someone’s, out there for you.
My biggest fear is that you will reject it when you do find it because your self esteem is so low.
My biggest hope for you is that you’re able to find peace with yourself and are able to accept all the love that you definitely do deserve.

@SwampFlower Many guys do seem *instant gratification* oriented... And want fun . Which having so much panic it's hard for me to offer it. But I do offer humor. I like that I can make light of many situations, and I'm a good listener. Patient too. I just don't know those few traits could override my disorder 🙁 That's so nice of you to say Flower, ty🪻

@Coralmist the guys who only want instant gratification aren’t compatible and that’s okay. There are plenty who don’t want that. I feel like you have very black or white thinking on this. Have you ever talked about black and white thinking with your therapists?
have you ever thought about what you want in a relationship? Vs what you can or don’t think you can provide?

I have been to:
Acadia, Shenandoah, Great Smoky, Assateague, Hatteras, Catoctin, Adirondack (state park), Mammouth Cave, Cumberland Falls (state park), Blue Ridge Parkway, Jockey's Ridge (state park at Nag's Head), Sky Meadows (state park in VA on Blue Ridge)
Gettysburg, Antietam, Chattanooga, Chicamauga, Manassas, Ball"s Bluff, Chancellorsville, the Wilderness, Yorktown
National Capital Region national parks and monuments (Mall, Jefferson, Lincoln, both Roosevelts etc.)
Rocky Mountain, Yellowstone, Grand Teton, Glacier, Grand Canyon, Great Sand Dunes, Flaming Gorge, Medicine Bow Mountains in WY (not sure if it is a park).
And a host of little state and local parks all over.
I booked at trip to Yosemite, but the pandemic cancelled it.
I haven't taken a "real" vacation since. I thought about it, though. Then I got sick and almost died, and became lame. No more hikes!
I need to plan something this year!

If I were being hopeful, I'd say to be loved for who and how I am.
Otherwise I'd say, to know I made a difference to others in my life.

You don't find love.. Love just happens.. Someone comes to love you and you love someone..
It's not something your worthy of.. You don't get loved by being worthy of it.. That's transactional and transactional love is NOT Love..

I’m training to stick fight at a Gathering of The Dog Brothers. They’re some of the craziest stick fighters in the world, perhaps barring the Philippines. I’m not good enough yet, but I’m working on it. Frankly it’s a race against time/age.
I’d also like to bungee jump off of a bridge and touch the water below. That’d be a rush.

@Coralmist Your head is protected by something akin to a fencing helmet. On your hands you typically wear hockey or lacrosse gloves so your fingers don’t get broken. A forearm pad or elbow pad would be optional.
The stick is basically a 1” thick piece of fire hardened rattan that’s 28”-31” long. It moves pretty quickly, so if you miss blocking it, it’s going to leave a mark. In rare instances, like a direct hit to bone, like a tibia shot, it’ll can break the skin. There’s a bit of etiquette involved in the ring when I fight. If you see someone can’t properly defend themselves, you’re going to hit soft tissue, not come crashing down and break their collarbone. The Dog Brotgers are a different group of fighters.
The Dog Brothers Martial Arts motto is: "The greater the dichotomy, the profounder the transformation. Higher consciousness through harder contact." (aka don’t suck or you’re going to get hurt). That’s the rush.

I would love to visit places with beautiful scenery and no venomous snakes to worry about encountering.

I want to try one of those isolation tanks someday. Not sure if I want a hit of microdot when I do!

@Coralmist Isolation tanks are filled with body temperature salt water and you float in total silence and darkness. It can be either relaxing or terrifying...
Microdot is and version of LSD and results in intense hallucinations if taken in the correct dose. Also either relaxing or terrifying!

Live someplace without winter.
Or even summer, for that matter.
Just three months of April, three months if May, three months of September, and three months of October.
Yet with June daylight hours. And not too humid. Yet still green.

Coralmist · 41-45, F
@greenknight I just love the ocean and have never been in turquoise waters. Plus to see dolphins would be awesome. And lounge with a Pina colada, just bliss for me. But Switzerland looks amazing too. Very pretty!
