I’m training to stick fight at a Gathering of The Dog Brothers. They’re some of the craziest stick fighters in the world, perhaps barring the Philippines. I’m not good enough yet, but I’m working on it. Frankly it’s a race against time/age.
I’d also like to bungee jump off of a bridge and touch the water below. That’d be a rush.

@Coralmist Your head is protected by something akin to a fencing helmet. On your hands you typically wear hockey or lacrosse gloves so your fingers don’t get broken. A forearm pad or elbow pad would be optional.
The stick is basically a 1” thick piece of fire hardened rattan that’s 28”-31” long. It moves pretty quickly, so if you miss blocking it, it’s going to leave a mark. In rare instances, like a direct hit to bone, like a tibia shot, it’ll can break the skin. There’s a bit of etiquette involved in the ring when I fight. If you see someone can’t properly defend themselves, you’re going to hit soft tissue, not come crashing down and break their collarbone. The Dog Brotgers are a different group of fighters.
The Dog Brothers Martial Arts motto is: "The greater the dichotomy, the profounder the transformation. Higher consciousness through harder contact." (aka don’t suck or you’re going to get hurt). That’s the rush.
