I struggled with this when my kids use to go to their mom's at night. It sucked I always played music, listened to books or watched TV so

I leave my television on for the noise, and sometimes I even pay attention to it. I have SW, and I spend quite a bit of time online, AND sometimes I play online games.
So even though my cat has passed away, I don't feel at all lonely.

I have experienced this recently while being in the hospital. I'm used to a full house and lots of company so the quiet can be really overbearing at times.
It isn't pathetic. I write a lot here when it gets overwhelming. I've found a lot of care and support and I hope you can find the same 💜
