when you're alone in the night, what do you do

i live alone, and at times i feel lonely....i only have my elderly parents for support and they live a good distance away.....at night when i'm in bed my thoughts race and i feel insecure, afraid and very alone....with no one there to accompany me or comfort me.

i know it sounds pathetic but does anyone else ever feel like this?

I leave my television on for the noise, and sometimes I even pay attention to it. I have SW, and I spend quite a bit of time online, AND sometimes I play online games.

So even though my cat has passed away, I don't feel at all lonely.
