An update nobody asked for

I've had a stomach bug since Wednesday, and needed Thursday and half of Friday off work. I still feel weighed down by my stomach which means a bit of nausea is lingering, but not enough to actually be physically sick. And then yesterday, of all things to happen, someone came into the store who reminded me of the girl I had my last major crush on in 2010 and while I can't describe the feeling it invoked, I've been badly in need of a hug since, not that I have anyone I can ask for one irl.

Then on top of all of that my mental health has been getting worse. That might be because I couldn't hold the pills down for two full days, and although I can do it now things haven't rebalanced yet.

I'd give ya a big hug! 🤗

Stoping antidepressants cold turkey can totally give you crappy withdrawal symptoms!
Hang in there and don't trust your thoughts and feelings for a couple more days and drink liquids with electrolytes like Gatorade and propel water. 👍
Once your feeling better, another healthy tip for good gut health is to eat fermented foods like sour kraut, and yogurts high in probiotics 😋

@Alisha233 I don't trust my thoughts and feelings regardless lol. But thanks 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗

Gatorade is a good suggestion! I'd been having lemonade ice blocks as I could hold those down, but now that I've held food down for all of yesterday and today I'm hoping that means I'm getting better.

Have you taken anti nausea medication to atleast get your pills down. I hope that you feel better. Warm tea always settles my stomach, especially peppermint. Then i drink chamomile to help me sleep and i usually wake up feelling good as new.

@AngelUnforgiven I've been able to hold food down all day yesterday and today, and Friday there wasn't any nausea until right before it all came out. I'm hoping I'm on the mend now, but definitely keeping up the fluids.

Try stay hydrated and hopefully in next couple days the bug will be completely done..✨
KiwiDan · 31-35, M
@Coralmist I am, and I think I'm on the upswing now as food has stayed down all of yesterday and today.

Is there any group you can join in your area. I’m sure you can find some on Facebook(careful of the scams). There are lots of people who are going through the mental health crisis and they support each other.

Also, you may want to talk to your therapist if you have one.

Hang in there..
where in NZ are you? Maybe I know someone who can give you a hug..
KiwiDan · 31-35, M
@Lonelyandyb I'm in Auckland
Lonelyandyb · 36-40, M
@KiwiDan oh . I’m in Wellington, don’t know many people in Auckland

Can you ask your family for a hug. Sometimes you are right and you just need a hug from someone who knows you.
KiwiDan · 31-35, M
@REMsleep my family isn't like that

Hang in there, Dan.
KiwiDan · 31-35, M
@LordShadowfire I plan on it :)

@metaldog thanks. I think I'm on the mend now, as I've been able to hold food down all day yesterday and today. I'll be fine :)
@KiwiDan good to hear ✨
