A wine glass...they didn't care!

come2gether · 41-45, M
Threw a snowball through a neighbors garage door single pane window (accidentally!). Ran back home. Neighbor dad confronted me the next day (very gently, by the way) and told me it would have been much better if I had just gone to the door and told him it happened. Trying to keep it secret was much worse, he said.

Good life lesson

My last dog was SO destructive. On separate occasions it chewed along my MIL'S window sill [still unrepaired], through one of the bathroom doors [we bought her a new door], and ripped up a 4"×3' swath of carpet WHILE INSIDE A CRATE [we bought an area rug to cover it for the few years until she recarpeted the house].
At dad's place he ripped up a 4'×4' section of carpet in a back bedroom. Dad replaced it with a section of carpet that sort of matches but really looks like shit but isnt in his room so he doesnt care. He refused our offer of repayment.

That dog never got left alone unkenneled again, and when kenneled it could only go on tile/concrete.

@Starcrossed sounds quite stressful. But you have a very supportive and understanding family.

@Mellowgirl he was such a sweet cute boy, he made it easy to forgive.

Broke the screen off someone's back porch door. I leaned on it too hard
@Mellowgirl I was a bit intoxicated, it was dark and didn't realize it. I learned my lesson

@mindlessdrifter replacement?
@Mellowgirl Yes I did. It was the least I could do 😊

I tracked shit on the bottom of my shoes onto a new rug in a living room. I got chewed out for it big time while apologizing profusely.

Destroyed a very very expensive vase...please note a boomerang should never be used indoors 😒
Blew up the bowl a few times. I just sat it out and prayed the delightful scent would evaporate.

Usually feel terrible and apologize immediately. Im like an accident prone person😞
blackarcher256 · 61-69, M
I have….I either repaired the damage or bought them a replacement item.

I ruined a floor. I cried.
That Rembrandt? or the Ming Dynasty vase? Nope, not at all; that's how I found it. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Seriously, though, thankfully that kind of thing has never occured..thank goodness. Although mortified, I'd have to tell them and offer to make amends.

Nimbus · M
@smiler2012 You broke the Scousers code? 😯
smiler2012 · 56-60
@Nimbus 😆that is more i broke a code nimby if the assistant saw me steal it and then made me cough up for item the rather than not involve the bizzies lol
Nimbus · M
@smiler2012 MMmmm, Scousers usually do a runner ;)

Yep. I knocked over a lava lamp in someone's apartment. It shattered and made a big mess, which I cleaned-up. Bought the owner a new one.
Ferric67 · M
Pretend I found it that way
Ferric67 · M
@Mellowgirl Plus, I would get myself a whole of lot of bonus points too for fixing it 👍
Mellowgirl · 31-35, F
@Ferric67 I don't think that is healthy. It's good to be honest, offer to repair or buy it back. If it has sentimental value you really have to kiss ass
Ferric67 · M
@Mellowgirl of course I would
Truth be told, I haven't actually visited a friend in close to a decade
TheOthetAcc · 36-40, M

Mellowgirl · 31-35, F

MarineBob · 56-60, M
@samueltyler2 so you're the reason yeti came out with the metal wine glasses
Not so far. 😅

I was a terrible babysitter. I'd break a lamp and then melt a pot.

I duck when she threw it... It broke she got madder, because it
Carazaa · F
Yes by accident I broke a crystal bowl, so I let her know of course and asked where she got it. Then I travelled to that country where she had bought it to find one like it and bought it back to her. The trip cost over $1000, the bowl about
$500
Azlotto · M
I have not.
Zonuss · 41-45, M
Never. ☺️
Not intentional, but when I was 12 I got a sneezing fit while over at my best friends, my hand lashed out and accidently knocked one of his model trains off the shelf in his room, his father got pissed at me and threw me out of their house. My friend on the other hand knew it was an accident and forgave me.
