Have you ever broken or damaged something in someone's home? If so what did you do?

Threw a snowball through a neighbors garage door single pane window (accidentally!). Ran back home. Neighbor dad confronted me the next day (very gently, by the way) and told me it would have been much better if I had just gone to the door and told him it happened. Trying to keep it secret was much worse, he said.
