what is the most underrated movie in your opinion?

I just thought it was brilliant for it's time. 1984
Adapted from the epic novel by Frank Herbert.

@Gusman I've not seen either version. Wasn't Sting in the original.

@Gusman After seeing the new one, I didn't like the original....Except for the Harkonens, I thought the new one was truer to the book.

@Jacko1971 Yes, Sting, Patrick Stewart, Linda Hunt, Max Von-Sydow to name some of the cast.

@originnone I never completed the book. The film was excellent in my honest opinion.

@Gusman Frank Herbert's son continued the dune series and wrote several more books. They are all very good. In some ways, I like the son's books even better.
