Not so much that people hate god, it’s mostly gods followers that piss people off.
Cagrl1 · 31-35, F
Yeah. Most religious people I know try to push their beliefs on everyone else. It’s bullshit.
Bebop · 31-35, M
I just don't particularly believe in a diety. I can't hate something i don't really believe in. I have my own interpretations and beliefs.
ScarletWitch · 31-35, F
I dont. I love him and jesus. I will never disown what I brought up to believe. But I consider myself Half because I also believe in Laws of Attraction. I also like to keep an open mind other possibilities such as spirits. Etc...

@ScarletWitch What does half mean?
angela2106 · F
Where do we start. Tsumamis? Childhood leukaemia? Wasps? Bubonic plague? Mouth ulcers? HIV/AIDS? the US Democratic Party? Dementia?
The list is endless, and the only intelligent question is why anyone should love this mythical and malign concept.

@angela2106 God didn't give us those diseases. We have free will and life just happens... if everything were perfect we wouldn't learn anything so yeah sometimes things happen, but it doesn't mean that God doesn't exists. He didn't make a promise for everything to be perfect. Whether he exists or not... these things are still going to happen. It's life. Wasn't meant to be easy. I don't get how people don't believe in him, but when something goes wrong people are quick to blame him for it.. which makes no sense.. to blame him you must believe in him.. Just my opinion.. and no I am not preaching. I have no problem with those who don't believe. This is just something that I often see and it's confusing.

Sorry to be insulting, but this is probably the stupidest justification for a belief in an omnipotent creator that I have ever read. As well as being coruscatingly naive, it also justifies - for someone foolish enough to believe in the existence of a creator - all the reasons why this creator should be help in contempt and hatred. You will also note - although I suspect your comprehension is poor - that I stressed the essential stupidity of any belief in a creative hand. @butterfly1013

@angela2106 If there was no creator, how was the universe created? That is something that science has, thus far, failed to fully explain. You may cite the Big Bang as the creation of the universe, but who or what created physical matter that formed the planets, stars and the re of the universe? Even Albert Einstein admitted that the universe is a great and vast creation which must have had a creator. Its beginning required a beginner.

Most people don’t believe in the concept of sin if they don’t profess Faith.

My experience and observation of people that do not believe in God - once did. And they had experienced a misfortune in their lives , maybe the death of a loved one or the loss of a job maybe at an early age when a pet died.
Then they just figured out because a prayer was not answered in a timely manner or not at all. They disbanded the belief totally. And convinced themselves there is no God because he did not answer a prayer.
That quickly turns into an abandonment of that religion then all beliefs. Then of course the last step is the making fun or criticizing a religion ( except Islam) and its believers.
I believe but never force my beliefs on others - nobody needs that.

People don't like to hear what they know not to be true. Its a defensive posture, best form of defensive is attack. Why hate anything is the real question.
Spoiledbrat · F
I’ve taken offense to the way I was treated but not because someone doesn’t believe what I believe to be true. @JimboUk

For some, personal tragedy that occurred that in our life of others that we cannot accept that a loving God would ever allow. For some, evil was committed by "religious" people. For some, they love their sin and vice rather than God. There are many, many reasons.
I came to a point, where I accepted the problem wasn't God, it was me. But that He loved and accepted me for who I am despite my sin. That is why He sent His son Jesus. To die to forgive me my sins, and give me new life.

would you enjoy having atheism or another religion shoved down your throat online?
indyjoe · 56-60, M
@FearfulHarmonyReborn There is a difference in someone simply stating what they happen to believe and pushing those beliefs onto others. I have found that if someone just simply states their belief the attacks abound...The Christians and some other religious people go on the offensive and try to correct or "save" the misguided soul, and the atheists go on the warpath to point out how unintelligent and stupid the person is. Just posting a simple statement, answer, or story is not necessarily "pushing it down people's throat"...if one doesn't like it or agree with it then just ignore it. It's a matter of respect for the differences of others.

Too preachy and Judgmental. Screw him.

@JimboUk What about my parents?
because they're jerks and they think religion are all lies
Spoiledbrat · F
As long ‘they’ are not being jerks it’s okay for them to believe that. @AbdoYonis
MarmeeMarch · M
@AbdoYonis Yea - I would just leave it at that and not call them names - its all good.
Spoiledbrat · F
I don’t. The religious person that has ever annoyed me is my mother in law.
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
What research do you have that validates your limited point of view?
butterfly1013 · 26-30, F
Because people are close minded. That's the only word I can find for it.
ViciDraco · 36-40, M
I'd have to believe there was one to hate, first off. Second off, if god existed as described in the bible, it would be a rather capricious and incompetent deity.
JimminyChristmas · 56-60, M
Because the idea of being judged is unpleasant?
It's a total different world today.
Spoiledbrat · F
How so? @DefiantHeart
MougyWolf · 36-40, M
the pretense maybe?
HannibalMontanimal · 26-30, M
Idk
bijouxbroussard · F
Do they ? Disbelief and hatred are not synonymous.
