Maybe you need a different type of ambience. I think you would benefit from a long, breath-taking hike with friends or with a group of people and a guide. Sometimes... your mind needs air and space. And your body may need to feel strong again. One of the best ways is to hike all the way to the top. When up, you can reflect on the beauty unfolding before you... take some photos... and explore in your mind different ways to make your life more fulfilling. If there are no mountains nearby, you can just pick a park and see if there are some walking events organized... it's nice to move and just feel the surroundings. Anyway.. when I am out of touch with myself, getting in touch with nature and breaking the routine helps. I hope it helps you too. If there is a way down, there is a way up - keep climbing to the best version of you, and of your life. ☀️

@Crimsondrops Vegas, Austin, Denver, Salt Lake. Flagstaff. Lol
Crimsondrops · 36-40, M
@goodlil666 Flagstaff is very doable. Anywhere but Tucson get me out of here
goodlil666 · 51-55, M
@Crimsondrops Yeah, from Tucson that's not bad. A lot cooler up there right now. I live in Phx but go up there to work a lot during the summer.

I wouldn't know. I've always hated that kind of environment and generally don't get what people get out of it.
Crimsondrops · 36-40, M
@CrazyMusicLover I used to feel "alive" going out. It was fun and I used to love dancing and having drinks with friends.
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
@Crimsondrops I like lively atmosphere sitting in a restaurant having a drink and chatting but I hate loud music where I can't talk with anyone.

@CrazyMusicLover Hearing is crucial.

I can relate i only liked goingbout in my late 20s after college. Once it was legal to drink it stopped being as much fun. Likewise life is too expensive for 7$ beers at the club or even the 20$ entry fee. Also once i was working full time who has the energy? Finally it turns out i had a brain tumor now its been removed nothing i onced enjoyed is the same anymore.
Now lets ook at the math. i was working for the equivalent of 18$ an hour before tax at 40 hours a week thats an hour work for entry into the club a half hour of work per drink (at least). If it was outside of walking distance (usually) thats 20$ for a ride home. Therefore i would spend 80$ to be in a room overcrowded sweaty and loud. To dance. Unlikely to talk to anyone. I went stag usually. And i almost never met anyone. Therefore i stopped going out instead opting to drink and smoke at home.

That's normal.

We do mature and leave teenage ways behind.

We may stay with the same friends but find others.

We may find new activities and interests rather than just going to clubs or bars..

Our musical tastes change and usually broaden; but the sort of music played in night-clubs is ephemeral, and driven by short-term fashion, so we turn to more satisfying forms.
Crimsondrops · 36-40, M
@ArishMell That's true the music isn't what ot used to be.
deadgerbil · 26-30, M
I feel ya. I've never been one to party like that. Id feel so out of place in a bar
yea this happens as you get older, you start wanting to be more effective with your time than wandering around all weekend doing nonsense
thisguy20 · 41-45, M
Its not necessarily that you have changed; the venues have. Music has gotten crappier and louder. Drinks have gotten more expensive and the "signature" ones have become less appealing.
Crimsondrops · 36-40, M
@thisguy20 I think you may be right.

Bleak · 36-40, F
I reckon it’s a matter of age.
Crimsondrops · 36-40, M
@Bleak I turned 36 back in april.
EPreject · 36-40, F
Oh yea clubs at this age are lame. Im more into new experiences and travel these days.
Sounds to me you've outgrown it.
Crimsondrops · 36-40, M
@PhoenixPhail I wouldn't be surprised. I'm 36
sree251 · 41-45, M

Donotfolowme · 51-55, F

@Crazywaterspring I've seen my fair share of arguments and fights over the years.
