I’m sad. I know it’s not going to last forever, but it’s just how I feel.

What are some healthy ways to cope with sadness??

Nature walks are my remedy for sadness. Whenever I feel down, I go for a walk in the park or somewhere around a pond. Pretty sights to see and my body gets its exercise in. Fresh air, sunshine, birds chirping, I’d be too busy getting my steps in to dwell on sad stuff. It’s meditative and puts me in a calm trance. Try it out.

@SW-User This works for me too. Lately I have to walk for an hour before feeling any improvement but in the end I definitely feel better.

@CrazyMusicLover yay for walks. Yeah, it worked for me because I was doing it all summer last year. A little about me, I have depression. Not clinically diagnosed, though I’m sure I’d pass the sadness and hopelessness test with flying colors. Anyway, I was really, really down in the dumps. Those 1-3 hours walks might have saved my sanity around this time last year. My mental health is doing much better and I’m in a better place now. Highly recommended to anyone reading this because we are satisfied customers. 😎

In the past, when I was sad, I would make a stack of books and just force myself to read even if I wasn't in the mood to do so, eventually getting lost in the text.

I've also found that listening to really dramatically sad music repeatedly —my go-to has always been Barber's Adagio — which is often remarkably helpful.

Writing often helped, too — just writing anything, whatever felt like coming out.

I'm sorry you feel sad, but it's only temporary.

I binge watch comedy, buy chocolate and exercise at home. If I'm sick, as I am atm, I'll experiment and read. I like experimenting :3 my current experiment is cooking with spice mixes prepared i made.
Find an activity you enjoy doing. Put on some positive music, dance If you want. Sing a favorite song. Anything to get you out of a rut. Even hanging out with a friend would help
Do something you find enjoyable.
Spend time with a loved one.
Engage in a hobby.
Spend time in nature.
