Yes, something when i was 19, 25 and 35.
Philasefer · M
@PaleandPolluted How did you shake of this feeling?
PaleandPolluted · 36-40, F
@Philasefer I had to wait for it to pass. Music helped me.

Magenta · 61-69, F
To an extent, yes. But I'm still always happy and motivated to get out of bed. Mine was in large part due to a heartbreak.

I also think it's a natural part of living in this humanhood. I also feel it's partly the aging process, (60plus) and all the subsequent losses we endure, hormonal, the chaos and unrest of the world we live in....

Exercise, fresh air and nature is healing though and can revive! ☀
Philasefer · M
@Magenta same with you. Does this site help?
Magenta · 61-69, F
@Philasefer It can help in the way that I can post and share things that are cathartic for me. And a friend that I communicate with.

But more times than not it makes it worse here. Depending on the day and what's the theme.

Does it make it better for you?
Magenta · 61-69, F
@Philasefer i can't stress enough how exercise will help. Exercise hard enough that all those feel good chemicals flood your body..
riseofthemachine · 41-45, M
Your right you answered the question yourself .
It's as you get older .
See at the start of life everything is new and you be getting a lot of highs , and then it comes to a stage where you can't get the highs no more that you used to get as you get older , and what happens is that you end up coming back to yourself .
Then and there very similar emotions is that ( what your on about , no motivation, less interest and staying in bed ) all from either self pity or depression . There very similar.
But if you entertain those feelings too much you go deeper and deeper into those feelings .
It be like a bog of self pity .
What I'm trying to say that there's nothing wrong with you as far as I know from your post , your just stale .
It's a good time for growth my friend .
Then everything opens up again

It’s normal to feel that way sometimes for many reasons. I’m going through something similar right now. They say that if you’re experiencing depression symptoms for more than two consecutive weeks it’s time to go see a doctor. Otherwise it’s normal to cycling through sad and happy to blah for months at a time. Be well. Others go through this too myself included.
Philasefer · M
@Muthafukajones my feeling seems to be on and off. Luckily it hasn’t been 2 weeks yet.
Sazzio · 36-40, M
Could be sign of depression or hormone change (but if u feel sick just thinking about food)? Best to talk it out with someone for 3 -4 weeks. Then if feeling is the same SEEK COUNSELLING! It's wha I done.
Philasefer · M
@Sazzio I guess. I don't want to be depressed though. I want to be happy internally
I've been feeling the same way for a few months. I'm bored with life, and nothing interests me.

I think it has to do with getting older and realizing there's not much to look forward to.
@Philasefer Well, yesterday I went to a park and walked along a trail for about half an hour. It was a nice day and I figured it was better than just sitting around doing nothing. It did make me feel a little better to get out and get some exercise. I've always heard that exercise can help.

Other than that, I'm just trying to be thankful for what I have and just try to "be" in the moment and accept how I feel for the time being. I also come here for laughs. There's some pretty funny people here.
Philasefer · M
@MsSwan Perhaps i need to get out of the house
@Philasefer I think it will do you some good.
AngelUnforgiven · 51-55, F
I have felt it before. So i pushed myself to get up and get moving. I think that most people have felt this at one time or another.
Went through a decade of it .. filed for divorce and things are looking up. Coincidence? I think not. 😎
Philasefer · M
@BrandNewMan haha I see. Glad things are better for you :) We all deserve happiness.
YoMomma ·
Yeah i think its like a type of depression perhaps maybe?
Philasefer · M
@YoMomma Maybe. I need to find a way to get out of this mess
DeluxedEdition · 26-30, F
sounds like depression
Philasefer · M
@DeluxedEdition I am too young to be depressed :(. I want to be happy all the time
Lostpoet · M
So much so that Lost became part of my identity.
Thevy29 · 41-45, M
