@CountScrofula my hours wouldn't be cut. The region is very understaffed and my manager is overwhelmed trying to do his job while covering for a coworker who's out with a broken arm

@CountScrofula aw thank you for the kindness..i do need to figure out how to not be so intense i think, sometimes..and that is where i fucked up. i was asked on like 7 dates by 7 guys in 2 weeks..and i only cared about THIS GUY, so i said no to all the others.

THIS GUY still says he wants to be with me "eventually" but that he needs to level up first. to me, a guy can level up IN a relationship..so i kinda feel like he just doesnt want me ENOUGH.

sadly, he KNOWS i said no to the others, bc i was trying to stroke his ego a bit and such. he said he is only seeing me too, and does spend most weekends with me..but his guard is up some.

it sucks when the one person u want to confess your roller coaster emotions to..is the one kinda MAKING them roller coastery. i know i know "The One" would not make me feel this way supposedlyyy..but i am fucking 41 and damaged. i have to take what i can get kinda :-/

@CountScrofula complicating it FURTHER..he found out two of his very best friends in the world just passed away, within the last 2 weeks. so i kinda just brought him homemade pot roast, squeezed his hand, and said i am here if you need me.

@HijabaDabbaDoo Brutality. Genuinely you can't rationalize or accomodate this behaviour. Being straight up unpleasant about it will trigger bad reactions but they will learn to amend their behaviour with you.

There's no polite way to get this behaviour to stop.

@MyMonstersAreReal Recognize that in an apology you MUST make the other person the main character of the story.

That means your intentions and explanations are not important. What is important is what the other person feels. You have to validate what they feel, communicate that you understand, and then tell them what steps you will take to do better next time.

The way that people fuck up apologies is by over-explaining themselves, minimizing the feelings of the other person, or apologizing for the wrong thing. Own what you did, accept the harm it caused, understand the pain the other person feels, and communicate that.
