What kind mushrooms are you hoping to forage?
KingFeeder · 36-40, M
@Matt85 I'd like to get some oyster or chicken of the woods. But this post is more about the human right to do so, rather than me doing it. I'll be posting more overlooked human rights on the days/weeks to follow. 😀

Even though most people don’t have that nuance to tell the difference between the lethal and none lethal ones?

@KingFeeder Modern people can’t cope without googling things.
If in doubt look at the endless stream of videos of Americans who can’t identify their own country on a map.

@Ceinwyn Here is a philosophical question for you then. Should the ignorance of some, justify all not having a fundamental right as a human being?
Should we live in a controlled society (like in the movie The Giver), because society isn't willing to let individuals take individual risk?

It depends if the size meets the requirements stated, that is 350 ft square.
If less there's not much room.

@Nimbus I also believe freedom of thought, opinion, and speech is a natural human right. Thanks for voicing it. 😀

People laugh but they probably don't know their food isn't made in a grocery store.
KingFeeder · 36-40, M
@SW-User True!

I completely agree with you
Happy hunting

It's safer then duck hunting.

Foraging is great
Missbirdie1986 · 36-40, F
But those mushrooms might be poisonous, what is stopping you
KingFeeder · 36-40, M
@Missbirdie1986 Oneself.
I also believe humans have an inalienable right to assume personal risk. Nothing would strip the human condition away faster than living in a nerfed world where there is no such thing as personal risk. :)

Yes ofcourse

People also have the responsibility of knowing what the tf they’re doing regarding that pursuit. Around here, every so often amateur "mushroom hunters" don’t recognize deadly varieties, and deaths result. 🥺
KingFeeder · 36-40, M
@bijouxbroussard True. :)

You do so I don't really see the need for the statement

@BlueGreenGrey which is why it is so important to codify and protect as many human rights as possible.
