29 years in a relationship, and 19 years in marriage, we don't compliment like normal people do. But it happens automatically every now and then, through our inadvertent actions. We don't even know it. But our kids are smiling, telling us to get a room and bla bla bla.
That's a sad excuse of human being to say that to another person. Nobody deserves that. Especially someone who you are supposed to be sharing your life with. Makes me glad I'm single
🫂 just so you know I'd be very sad if something did happen to you ...you are wonderful and don't deserve that
@pripyatamusementpark thank you so much

I wish you didn't have to hear them mean words. I wish everyone could experience my gorgeous love life.

I'm sorry that you and everyone has to suffer this way.

My marriage, Its not perfect, but its close to movie perfect I have I ever seen in real life.
HumanEarth · 56-60, F
I always get the I love you's. Plus, I get lots of Hugs and kisses everyday. Its has been like this since the day we met each other.

And they get them back in return. We truly do love each other. If we didn't, we wouldn't be heading to that 30 year mark in our marriage
Rokan · 31-35, M
The hell kind of SO says that to another SO? Not a very good SO.
@Rokan I know this is totally confusing to explain to anyone who hasn't experienced it. It's just as confusing for me a lot of the time. This lady I follow on Instagram well she explains something here that helps to understand

@AbsolutelyFabulous you think i haven't experienced it? I was kicked out of my house at the age of 7 by my alcohoiloc mother for hitting her bf with a bat to get him to stop hitting her. Thats only 1 experience out of thousands. I only asked because i wanted to be sure before i said my next part. I was going to say that if you are ever in real trouble that hitting someone in the throat will topple even the strongest man.
Rokan · 31-35, M
@AbsolutelyFabulous i also asked questions to figure out where your head space was. Some people think they deserve the abuse and they are impossible to talk to.
Beaker4444 · 46-50, M
I understand all too well. Mine just refers to me as her "meal ticket". I will say she gets territorial when anybody else talks to me in a derogatory way. She will proudly yelk that she is the only person who can treat me like that and she has the paperwork to prove it.
He said people in the laundry were staring at me because I am stunning . It's the only nice thing he ever says because he's not really that nice to me in most other ways.
RSquared · 61-69, M
I don't know @AnnabelleLeigh, that sounds damn nice to me. Nicer than anything I ever say. Haha
@RSquared Words and actually being kind and supportive and decent are two different things. Anyone can say anything .
RSquared · 61-69, M
@AnnabelleLeigh It has to start somewhere.
tfan123 · 46-50, M
I sure hope he was not serious. Because if he was - the next time he is sitting in his chair, drop the dishwashing liquid bottle in his lap…but aim…carefully for it to fall on “target” and tell him - it’s time for him to wash the dishes. 😉👍.
Cheesecake · 61-69, M
That's shocking! I have never said anything remotely like that to any s/o in my whole life!
I can't remember ever getting anything nice said to me though, so if I ever have it must be a long time ago 🙄
justanotherone · 51-55, M
I'm sorry to hear. You deserve so much better.

In the meantime I'm thinking. If my wife don't say anything nice neither anything rude does that mean my situation is better?
@justanotherone possibly not
You have a decent looking head, I don't know why he would say that to you. You didn't throw his favorite hawaiian shirt away, did you?
@Motzu nah, he's extraordinarily weird,.. I have no idea
Coralmist · 41-45, F
What is a s/o again? 😧🤔 I'm sorry you experienced that..you are a great person Fab and hope you know it🌸🪻
@Coralmist significant other, in my case my husband.

Thank you 💜
HannahSky · F
What was your response? That was not okay.
@HannahSky I said nothing.. How am I going to respond to that.. Anything I could have said would have created a giant argument in front of my daughter
HannahSky · F
@AbsolutelyFabulous Very true. It's so unacceptable. I'm sorry you had that happen, and in front of your daughter.
@HannahSky thank you

hunkalove · 61-69, M
@AbsolutelyFabulous Reminds me of when my mother was dying from cancer and heavily medicated and got mad at my brother who was 17. He told her to shut up and die. A few hours later, she did.
Sapio · 51-55, M
Thank you for giving me a break so I can grip the coffee cup without cramping.
Geezus, they sound like it's time for them to go bye bye. Yikes :o

I am sorry. He hasn’t said anything nice to me in years and years so I get.

That was really uncalled for though.

@AbsolutelyFabulous they sure do and I have heard that comment before. It’s so hurtful to be told that your husband wishes you would die. I am really sorry you have been going through this.
