I see this a lot in my job faking it isn't being truthful unfortunately people use this as a tool to survive in other words they are doing something wrong for the right reasons an example would something like a mother that steals food to feed her children its wrong but she is trying to survive feeding her children that would my outlook on "faking it to make it"!

Hmmm well it’s making an advanced hopeful claim, forward thinking i guess tho it may not be true in the moment if you make it then it is true so .. a bit pretentious but as long as they aren't scamming anyone i guess it’s ok. Dream big i guess with optimism
Or maybe I'm just biased from watching wannabe modeling shows .. most shows in general are put on

The term was usually used as a supposed confidence booster to fake confidence until you were confident.
It's just throw away advice like a lot of catch phrases.
Maybe act confident when you don't feel confident until more confident is a better explanation, but too long for a catch phrase.

When used temporarily to get through a tough situation, no issue. But if prolonged, as in you use that as your primary mode of ‘getting by’ in life, then it’s a problem. You are lying to yourself (gaslighting).
You aren’t in touch with your reality and live in your own bubble and subjected to all sorts of psychological fragilities. Always dwelling within pretenses then wondering why you get fucked over in the ways you do, it’s on you.
You had the chance- multiple chances to course correct with yourself and still choose the supposed path of least resistance for yourself. When in reality that instant gratification is a a trap you pay for later.

No... Coz you aren't lying to anyone. It's just a practice for self improvement.

More "Manifestation," or "Mindset-shift," to keep you moving forward until you see the results you're working for.
