@Stereoguy The thing about rattlesnakes and copperheads is that you won’t know they are there most of the time till you start doing something and uncover them. When I was living in the country it was a little rent house and the previous guy left a lot of chicken pens and we tore them down and piled up the boards. One day I went out to start burning the boards in a barrel & was using a hoe to pick each one up out of the pile because there were a lot of black widow spiders. I had burned boards for a couple of hours and got down to the bottom few in the pile and heard a buzzing when I lifted a board. I put the board down and it stopped and each time I lifted it would hear it again. Figured it was a rattlesnake and went inside for a few hours.

I watch a whole variety of things. From music, to podcasts, to documentaries but I would say my most favorite thing to watch are the old lifetime movies. YouTube, I've found is one of the only channels that show some of the greatest lifetime movies and movies based on true stories.
If you grew up in my era, you come to appreciate the classics. YouTube has some very interesting classics, from movies, to music and television shows.
There was a time I binge -watched crime shows about real crimes. I wanted to know where people failed regarding security and with trusting our sixth sense and how to see the signs of a dangerous situation. it caused me anxiety so I stopped doing that. Now I watch music videos, travel shows and lately bushcraft lol...I like seeing how survivalists survive out in the wild. And also I like watching cooking/baking channels too.

@cherokeepatti I love these too. Corporals' Corner?
Oster1 · M
@cherokeepatti They are so interesting. I also like many other genres. I don't own a TV, since they changed the signal, like 15 years ago.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Oster1 I get so many suggestions and sometimes I watch them. I have gotten a lot of video suggestions about cooking and many from different countries, some are very cultural, one couple cooks outdoors at their rural home I think it’s in Azerbijan, they even cook outside in most of the winter videos.

@cherokeepatti Same. I think Youtube, is the best cooking school in the world. I just have so many interests , in many topics and subjects. I do have immense disdain, for their censoring.

Nothing comes close, but a terrific amount is being transferred to other platforms.

Plenty. I love music, makeup tutorials, space, talk shows, mystery & crime, psychology, cooking and old cartoons. That's to name a few.
DunningKruger · 61-69, M
There used to be a number of series on YouTube that were basically homemade horror shows, like Marble Hornets. They don't do them all that much anymore, not that I've been able to find, so I mostly watch various stuff like Tom Scott, Joe Scott, Spacetime and so on. Sometimes some home renovation stuff like Modustrial Maker and Homemade Home. Quite a bit of D&D stuff more and more, because of course I do.

A variety of things. Living off grid, tiny houses, how to start a particular chain saw and other informative ones about items I own, learning about compound bows and archery related things, arts and crafts that I am learning or am interested in, cooking videos for new foods as well as ones I already know, music...lots of music, etc...

Urbex, urban climbing, trainhopping...stuff I know I would never do but it's fun to watch someone else doing it and showing places from another perspective.

This is one of the best I found.

I like watching some pagan youtubers telling stories I grew up hearing.

I make mead and like watching others who make mead so i can improve upon my recipes

I also like some cooking channels, music, video game news. Mostly though I watch the stuff my son likes with him on there

For me it's primarily music, panel debates and podcasts.

But I am partial to a good cringe compilation, when I'm feeling down.

Britcoms - Someone here suggested "Black Books", which led me to "Father Ted" - very funny shows, but mostly music...
