I still think Musk knows he is doing this..😷

@LeopoldBloom
Tesla will either fold or be absorbed into one of them.
But give him credit for (1) demonstrating a viable electric vehicle with a longer ranger was possible and (2) being successful enough to convince the auto industry there was a market there beyond what politicians forced them to do. Henry Ford wasn't the first developer of the automobile either.
@dancingtongue I'll give him and his engineers credit for that. But that doesn't make him a visionary. Nobody remembers Adams-Farwell, Duryea, and the hundreds of other early automobile manufacturers.

@LeopoldBloom From his track record, he appears to be far more an entrepreneur than a visionary: first able to get venture capital for his early software programs including a forerunner of Paypal, selling them off at profits to begin self-funding the start-ups and IPOs of his better known ventures. Still an impressive track record for a double immigrant: first to Canada where he had dual citizenship through his mother, and then across our northern border with a student visa. One does wonder what the would have happened if his mother had been from Latin America and he had to come from the southern border. Our immigration laws are totally dysfunctional when it comes to who gets opportunities and who doesn't.

I honestly don’t know anyone who uses it. Its politics and social commentators mostly, and who needs that?

He maybe a genius startup, but who knew he is also a train wreck?!
dancingtongue · 80-89, M
@Wiseacre If you live any where near his Tesla factory, the track record (pun intended) shows it is inevitable.

how do we get Elon to buy ticketmaster next?

It’s weird how the people claiming to be against the establishment always seem to share the same views as mega corporations. It’s almost as if they are being given a way to larp as rebelling provided by the very elites they pretend to hate.
