There's plenty of catfish or fake accounts from Russian bots, so it could even be AI that you're messaging and it's switched to another target profile. There's many reasons. I used to get a lot of DMs from beautiful girls who asked me if I was into female wrestling. They'd say hello and introduce themselves in a message or two, then start talking about wrestling. It was bizarre, but I just blocked them. It was clearly spam or a scam (or maybe something else ending in "am"...)

Sucks, I got block a person I thought was a friend I talking to for almost a year. Woke up and found out I was blocked without a notice why.

People are weird on SW. I've found I can be chatting amicably to someone on here and then, without warning, they stop replying to messages. Frustrating when you don't why.....

Sorry to hear that. I've been blocking a lot lately. So many mouthy losers on SW. I figure the feed will eventually improve.

@Rokan I would because sometimes European and Asian cultures are different from American culture, and you don't want to say anything awkward because............

I get way too many of these replies: "Sorry, I don't understand American lifestyles," or "I do not know what you are talking about since I am not American."

So, it is much better of they have where they are from so you can understand who and where you are talking to.

@helenoftroy2000 id rather you just say whatever is most true to you. It feels more like to me im being scouted for something. Oh he is American and probably has money etc... it use to happen a lot when people from India, middle east, Indonesia, or the Philippines would say hello and try to talk.
