Do you give any warning, or you just block the user ?

Why would I warn? If someone is showing disrespect they most certainly won't start showing it after being warned.

I'll mute users I try to avoid, but I don't block. Most I don't like end up blocking me anyway, that takes care of itself.

Seems presumptuous of me to give a warning, as if other people are supposed to acquiesce to my standards.

I tell them.to go away usually while providing a reason. Then if it petsists. Bye.

Someone I don't like the look of, who uses the place as a bully pulpit (generally right-wing Americans), just mute them. A bit like crossing the road to avoid drunks.

it kinda annoys me greatly when people feel the need to announce their upcoming or recently occurred blocks.
