Do you block someone when…

Yeah, i have. Theres a fair few peeps that completely ignore me even if i say something nice on their post. They seem to ignore my comment and like and reply to everyone else!!

I block anyone who might detract from the fun I have here. Might be MAGAts, might be the folks who post gibberish. Whatever. This is my fun space.

There are people who completely ignore me. They go to my post to reply to other people. They never like my posts too, but I don't block them. I actually want to chat and befriend them, but I'm shy I'm thinking I might get embarrassed. I only block people who are mean, people who come to my post and become negative or who are overly pervy and I don't even know them.

Only if it's super-often, like multiple times a day most days. I can ignore occasional, even if it's kinda often

This is an interactive site. If you read a post, at least leave some type of emoji response. Leaving a comment can create opportunities for dialogue.

I don’t block anyone. And I like that people will interact with each other in my posts…even if I’m not in their conversation. It’s actually how I met a few good folks here.

To have people connect with each other because of something I’ve shared makes me smile.

I actually I have one person person block, me of all people. The anti blocker, but it was my fault and I created a monster.

No. I might consider it though, if they only came on my few posts to reply to someone else, and consistently ignored my my comments to them...or on their posts.

If I feel ignored and bothered by it I might do it. I’m not always the best at answering, myself tho 😩💖

Good question, and I don’t think I have, but I can understand it if someone did. They’re just using you as a conduit to get to others.

I don't block but if i consider them to be outwardly rude then i will remove them if in my friends or followers list. Then i just dont notice them, they become one of the group that have no consequence to me.

I never get why people comment under a reply someone has posted but not to the poster.. seems odd to me. Worse still when they start talking about something completely different from what I've posted. Make your own post if you want to discuss something else.

I seldom block. I do not even know what words will get a post hidden anymore so I will leave it at that.

It can be a bit frustrating if we try to interact with someone a few times and they do not acknowledge our existence.
I figure there is so much going on with SW that it can be hard to keep up. So, benefit of the doubt.

I have had only one incident where I felt kind of hurt by something like this, but I shall send a PM about that.

I can understand doing that. I usually block those that send rude messages. That make an effort to get blocked

Yup. I call it the "block of benevolence". I'm doing them a favor by blocking them.

Being completely ignored hasn’t happened yet but if/when it does, I can certainly see myself becoming annoyed and there’d likely come a time when they’d get flushed down the crapper.

I’ve actually had sort of the opposite happen. Someone was initially annoyed by my reply on one of their comments so I told them not to worry, I wouldn’t bother them again. But I guess they figured I wasn’t so bad because they started to follow me around like a puppy positive emojiing my replies. Which I tolerated for a long while but then they started leaving dopey comments as well. I also noticed that they could be very nasty to others.

Well this is my fun/distraction time and there’s no need for me to keep someone around who detracts from that.

I don't block but there are a couple of people I do deliberately ignore, both have multiple accounts and I don't like any of them so I might well be guilty of doing to someone else what has been done to you.

In my defence I don't wanna interact with personas, I prefer people who are real so I avoid interacting with them 😕

I only block if someone blocks me.
Also does the report system really work or is it just there as false hope. Because, most of the report system just tilts towards blocking the individual.

No....only for egregiously insulting and rude behavior directed toward me

There are a few such people. But, I kinda know them, and they know me. I warn them when their unending chatter starts driving me crazy through notifications, and I tell them to get a room. They comply.

I’ve noticed this myself with a couple of people. I haven’t blocked them but I no longer comment on their posts

If they completely ignore me, thats ok.

I do not block them unless a previous interaction on a previous post went sour.

I usually block who do not align with my thinking , or someone who loves to argue with me on a common thread.

When I feel like they’re doing it on purpose and there is a pattern yes, I have.

I've never had to block someone, but if they did the same to me as they did to you, I wouldn't be opposed to blocking them.

No, but I did mute them. I was looking forward to that conversation they stopped replying to.

I don't try to block someone unless they become very mean spirited. And if there are a lot of negative comments about me or my friends.

Idk i havent noticed anything like that anyway, i only block people that are really rude toward me that have offended me. Anyone else i might just put on ignore or see less.

Yes, I block for any reason tbh it can be just a bad vibe.

Generally I dont bother with them

I would definitely block someone under those circumstances. If they don’t want to interact with me, they can stay off my posts, too.
