what do you love about this website?

Well, its nice. One of the best reasons I find is, there are a lot of people posting random stuff. The other is that its not stuck up like some of the other websites that flood my email inbox like nerdwallet.com newsletters, and substack. It gives you a lot more freedom to post what you want than Facebook. I also find that there is a unique opportunity to meet people from diverse walks of life and cultures, and if you have an open mind, you can learn a lot from them.

The sheer diversity of it.

The fact you can read somebody's post and ask a related question before offering advice.

The sharing of ideas or art or literature from other places you knew nothing about !

Those odd little connections with people who might be far older or younger or from a totally different culture/ gender/ faith than yourself.... but you get each other !

I've seen ideas; recipes; knitting patterns; how to's; legal advice; engineering solutions; work problem advice; reformed criminals advising on how to better protect your home; car.... yourself !

All human life is here it's wonderful !

We have a great mix of people who go out of their way to amuse the rest of us and there are some truly lovely supportive people here.

For me not love but like.
I like reading different people's opinions, thoughts, feelings and experiences:
it's a bit like people watching at a street café or the beach.

Occasionally, I enjoy a conversational exchange - when there's a flow back and forth for more than one or two posts.

I eventually blocked three people whose post triggered me too much,
and since then I've found the whole experience much more pleasant.

I still have a bit of trouble connecting here with the people I like most - but that's because I'm only here erratically.

I think the entertainment value, there are those that openly ask about relationship advice to a open forum, when they should ask a professional, asking questions about medical help when seriously CALL YOUR DOCTOR or find one and make an appointment. most just want to share, some of it, I find funny or think, yeah, I can relate to that. Some are helpful, not long ago I asked the community about a theremin which is a type of musical instrument, the input I received was enlightening.

Random stuff, memes and funny stuff. Not a fan of people who make petty jobs for no reason. And don't respond when you retaliate. Exhausting. And I barely get into arguments on here anymore. Ugh. It's nice to get some news tho. You know. I don't like watching the news on TV.
