I would like to say a word in defence of smokers. This decreasing minority who huddle in alleys and doorways in all weathers, shunned like lepers. Simply for the privilege of sacrificing their health and shortening their lives to pay extra taxes to the state. I wont be joining you. But your sacrifice is noted..😷
@pride49 If I am going to have to stop and explain every sophisticated witticism I make here to you, we are both going to be here a very long time. Since I am already old, I dont propose to invest my time that way. Please move on, ..😷
You need a new name... Your attitude right now isn't coming across as "fun".
How about just avoiding smokers and leaving them to do what they will??? At the end of the day, if every smoker on the planet mass quit, your government is going to miss that tax money they rake in from the sale of every pack... and guess who's going to be paying some new bs tax to contribute to the money lost from people not smoking anymore.
oh great another non smoker who has such feelings for the Smoker , you know i'm tired of today's society where a Smoker has to act like a Criminal on the loose just to have a smoke somewhere that's not outside in winter
Never. I value my lungs a lot. My parents smoked heavily. The house stank from it. I recall as a child emptying out ashtrays. Made me gag. There was a time when I had to sit outside at work with smokers. I hated that. They reeked. Their breath. Their clothes. Nicotine- stained fingers. Now non-smokers are in the majority. We do not have to breathe in those toxins. Who wants cancer? Who wants to stink? There are many cessation aids. Some are free through work places even. COPD is a harsh sentence. Ptotect your lungs. Stop smoking.
I just quit and moved onto vapes as I taper off. It is a hard addiction though so best not to judge.
Quitting includes the worst brain fog you've ever experienced for days, irritability, depression, flu symptoms etc. Having to go through that while you work is almost undoable.
Amen to that. My grandparents are heavy ones and they don't even have the decency to take that bullcrap outside, so their whole apartment smells of it. And they are stupid af bc I have to keep telling them that I'm not going to hang out by them and stuff just to end up smelling like a cigarette
I’m a former smoker. It’s an addiction. I’m glad laws were passed to limit where people can smoke. It ultimately helped. As did the taxes raising the cost.
