Needed Words

When your whole world has been falling down around you, daily, every day…what do/did you say to yourself to maintain, stay and survive?…

They cant beat you unless you quit.😷
PerfectionOfTheHeart · 46-50, F
Just keep swimming.

The only alternative is drowning and that’s simply not an option for me, no matter how tired my arms get.
Fairydust · F
It’ll pass, it was a very tough time, I sunk very low, healing does that to you I guess.

Out the other side now and life is good again 🌸✨

Love this...a lot!

We have to tend to ourselves like a garden, push through the darkness to the light and then water to keep growing.

Patience is key 🌷🌸🌱✨

Here's what I've found... no matter what today brings, there is always tomorrow, or next week, etc., and believe it or not, with the determination to survive, that next (day/week/month) can and will be better than you ever imagined.

For me it's always been so... no matter the storm, I made my way through it and came out whole, smiling and while my new life wasn't what I'd planned or expected, I made it good, even better than my previous life.

It's all on you, and that is what you want. Build that tomorrow for you.

Like I have always done, I bristle up and knuckle down until the job or situation has been resolved. Mine is a sports athlete and military mind set mind you. The Sports coaches and military and my father all said Bristle up and get tough, knuckle down and win the fight, as well as cinch by the inch and hard by the yard (Meaning tighten up your grip on the issue and work very hard to push through it to resolve it before it adversely affects you).

Depending on what my beef is, usually 'fvck it' does it for me.
Ontheroad · M
@Tumbleweed yep, sometimes that's the best/perfect response to life.

Remember when Britney shaved her head? At the time I thought it was a stupid idea but when I got there myself I completely understood it. I didn’t do that btw but the urge was real.

Mine was from heartbreak so did get rid of any reminders of him/us. Photos, gifts, clothing - his and even my own. I renovated my home. I changed as much as I could to trick myself into believing I was making more progress than I actually was.

I felt I could only survive by re-inventing myself. Ideals went out the window. I still loved her but could never have her, so within reason any way I could experience pleasure I pursued. Some of what I did was crazy and dangerous and only months before, I would never have considered.

All is well.

Just keep away from the dust and debris as I am the one being smuggled through time to morrow. Don't prevent anything from falling as I need nothing of today, as tomorrow is to gift me an entirely new life.
Inspirational words don't work if your world really is collapsing. That is a survival situation. I moved as was necessary to survive. But I learned to grow more civilized doing so.
dancingtongue · 80-89, M
What am I doing wrong? What other options do I have? There is a way out of this mess if I focus on solutions rather than defeat.
beetlebumdont · 26-30, F
I stayed home and only spoke to dad then got on anxiety meds

"It doesn't matter."
"I don't care."

Everyday. Multiple times .
It always gets back normal at some point. Life is long

Sounds cliche but I always say it could be worse.
