Maybe we are not Broken

Was reading a caption by author Gabor Mate today. He counsels people with trauma. He said something that made me shift my horrible view of myself, even a little. He said, "You're not broken. You're wounded. And wounds, can heal." I liked that, Wow. I have shrink myself away from friends, from social gatherings and sadly of all, from any love or romance, because I feel beyond broken. But maybe this new shift can change my perception , that I'm wounded. Not some inhuman broken THING. 💜

I'm glad that you finally see it. But, I'm sad that it took this long. Every second that you spend feeling "broken" a better alternative in life is being passed by. You deserve the best. You are not a broken thing you are a human being with emotions whose had some setbacks in life be it minor or major setbacks. You are here! And that's what's important. Girl you deserve to live your best life!

I have never agreed with the whole "broken" concept. Broken means discardable, useless, no longer of value. No human life falls into those categories.

Wounds heal. Scars heal. That is what we deal with. Nothing we can't recover from or that diminishes our value.

@FoxyQueen Even "broken" things tend to be fixable. Sometimes, they might need new parts or super glue.

Other times, they need to find a different purpose... like how broken glass can become a sun catcher. It's still beautiful, but you can't drink from it anymore.

@Coralmist🤔that is good advice and encouragement you need sometimes when you have all the worries in the world to hear something positive to lift you
Seems a better way to look at it .. hope it eases things for you to heal.

Two most important points to remember:
You are NOT broken.
We ALL are wounded.

I think you need some hottie to "lick your wounds."

🫪 🤪

But seriously, wishing you healing.

You're on your way!
Scars remain, fortunate are those who are able to forget and never be reminded again

A variation on "That which does not kill us makes us stronger"😷

(((((HUGS))))) The Japanese have a technique where they repair broken pottery with gold, called Kintsugi, it makes the repaired item more beautiful 😊🤗❤
