Maybe we are not Broken

Was reading a caption by author Gabor Mate today. He counsels people with trauma. He said something that made me shift my horrible view of myself, even a little. He said, "You're not broken. You're wounded. And wounds, can heal." I liked that, Wow. I have shrink myself away from friends, from social gatherings and sadly of all, from any love or romance, because I feel beyond broken. But maybe this new shift can change my perception , that I'm wounded. Not some inhuman broken THING. 💜

I have never agreed with the whole "broken" concept. Broken means discardable, useless, no longer of value. No human life falls into those categories.

Wounds heal. Scars heal. That is what we deal with. Nothing we can't recover from or that diminishes our value.

@FoxyQueen Even "broken" things tend to be fixable. Sometimes, they might need new parts or super glue.

Other times, they need to find a different purpose... like how broken glass can become a sun catcher. It's still beautiful, but you can't drink from it anymore.
