anger. i never used to feel angry. i think it came from a combination of my frontal lobe developing, leaving an awful relationship, and my mom dying. i get irritated over small things and sometimes i feel like i can't control my anger, i simply don't know how. in particular when bigger issues come up. but i would never hurt anyone besides myself

I really appreciate you sharing that. It sounds heavy, and you’re doing your best with a lot. 🫂

I hide sadness and failure. I just don’t like to share much when I am upset. I like to share when I am happy. I guess I am just used to solving my own problems.
GuiltyBiStander · 31-35, F
I don't bury my emotions. I never know what to wear at funerals.
But I still fake orgasms.
Sometimes.
I just think it's better for everyone.
Hope it was incredibly amazing for you too.

Mine is worry. I hide it so that other people in my life don't feed off of it. Only one of us should have to endure it. I know that it's a self-inflicted emotion, but it's how my mind works some times. It'll probably send me to an early grave (gulp).
BlueVeins · 22-25
Anger. I am angry very often. I do not feel like it is justified to express it in person, and I do not want to hurt anyone else.
Turtlepower · 36-40, M
I'm not sure. It's more of a thought than a raw emotion but it's self doubt and regret which is sometimes sadness.
mindstruggle · 31-35, F
@Turtlepower
Yeah, self-doubt and regret can sneak up on you like that. It’s tough to share those feelings sometimes.

@mindstruggle indeed. It's easier to ignore them and try to focus on the positives lol
SwampFlower · 31-35, F
Fear. I don’t like admitting it to myself. It took me too long to find anything to be afraid of.
mindstruggle · 31-35, F
@SwampFlower
I understand. Fear can be tricky, it sneaks in when you least expect it.

Anger. Always have to be low key in how you respond and i immediately go quiet and examine the cause/person.
I’d call it the container of emotions named grief. If I looked into it too often I’d drown.
mindstruggle · 31-35, F
@OlderSometimesWiser
That’s a powerful way to put it. Grief really can feel like that, deep and overwhelming. It makes sense to protect yourself from drowning in it.

I bury most of them at this point. I've felt too many of them too deeply for too long and I'm just tired of feeling at this point.
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
I don't bury my emotions; I just don't reveal them much in public. It's a matter of privacy, I guess you could say.
Sadness. Nobody wants to look at it. It's safer to hide it than to feel the rejection.
nazgul · 26-30, F
Feelings of inadequacy. I'd hate to have other people see me the way I see myself. Don't want to encourage that.
Heartbreak. Better to TRY and bury it and maintain a shred of dignity. Sometimes that is difficult to impossible.
Captainjackass · 31-35, M
Rage because I have a lot of it. I have to bury it to keep others safe.
Cigarguy101 · 41-45, M
Anxiety I have to hide it all time. If I didn't id never be a good father to my kids
FreestyleArt · 36-40, M
Through experience. Thinking what I say something wrong? I rather not say anything
skmokisses · 46-50, F
Sadness ........ I will suppress the hell out of it. If ya can't see it, it doesn't exist right? Result of childhood trama.
Alyosha · 31-35, M
Anxiety. It's just easier to get by that way.
quesswhat · 70-79, M

Rolexeo · 26-30, M
Any sort of vulnerability, I don't trust people.
Tumbleweed · F
Love. I bury it so deep that it doesn't even exist.

Anger, duh.....
NerdyPotato · M
Horniness. It's not so much that it's safer to hide, but there's no use in expressing it.
YoMomma · 41-45
Because it is safer
faery · 31-35, F
Fear, because it can have the connotation of vulnerability/weakness
mindstruggle · 31-35, F
