If you could remove one emotion from your repertoire, which one would it be?

popmol · 22-25, M
@DearAmbellina2113 good choice!
atlantic59 · 61-69, M
@Queendragonfly a powerful one. Killers thrive on this secret agenda brewing
popmol · 22-25, M
@atlantic59 which requirements?
popmol · 22-25, M
@Queendragonfly most likely! i'm just jealous of loving people, i want it too!
MoonlightLullaby · 41-45, F
Definitely anxiety and although being highly sensitive allows me to be more empathetic, understanding ect, I wish I wasn't a sensitive Susie, as it can lead to other issues.
popmol · 22-25, M
@MoonlightLullaby indeed! too much of any emotions is terrible!
ServantOfTheGoddess · 61-69, M
@popmol I have long had a tendency toward jealousy in relationships and it has been very painful for me and not good for people who have loved me.

popmol · 22-25, M
@ServantOfTheGoddess understandable! did you fix it?
Iwillwait · M
@popmol Doesn't serve me well.
@Iwillwait but necessary. How do you stop people doing bad things if you cannot get angry about it?
Iwillwait · M
@aboveaverageaveragejoe Well, if look to Dog training per se, you never need to raise your voice to command or direct, the rasing of voice should be literally reserved for "Emergency Only," situations to have the greatest effect. I know lots of oeners who are constantly pist off at their animal for doing or exhibiting an unwanted behaviour, thus, every command is in a firm of yelling causing the animal to now be desensitized to the elevated soeach levels and tone.

People are the same way, if you're always angry, it loses all affectiveness as to communicate. The emotion for myself has been a reflex so readily available that it only does harm in most cases and creates more strife.

I would much rather not have it in my life
popmol · 22-25, M
@thinkingoutloud are you a fearful person?
@popmol Apparently I have a few hidden/subconscious fears.
popmol · 22-25, M
@thinkingoutloud which ones?
Raaii · 18-21, F
I'll erase emotion
popmol · 22-25, M
@Raaii all emotion? you'll be a robot!
Strongtea · 22-25, M
Jealousy I think.
popmol · 22-25, M
@Strongtea well if you do these easy steps you'll learn to be less jealous.

1: no they aren't perfect. most people have a bunch of problems. just not the same as you necessarily!
in case of friends:
2. turn it around, don't be unhappy because you aren't as happy as them, be happy for them. you want to see your friends happy, no?
in case of ex girlfriends: did you truly love them or were they a fling?
2. if they were a fling forget them, they aren't worth your time.
3. if they were someone you truly love, be happy like with friends for their happiness.

if these don't work depending on how you think about it you might have some narcissism.
most likely a healthy amount like most people, because we put ourselves first but if you think like these exes should have been mine and happy with me. i'd definitely revisit that and think about it.
Strongtea · 22-25, M
@popmol thanks for that, that’s super interesting!
popmol · 22-25, M
@Strongtea also these are "simple steps" in a way like they are simple solutions with not much difference to regular life.
but not simple as in you might need to change your whole look on life and the people around you and yourself.

so if they don't work, its not because you didn't try hard enough but they are just hard to accomplish.
AlienFox · F
