I would make videos only if you love the subject you want to talk about and not expect them to go viral. Treat it as a fun hobby.

Do you have enough content where you can make 2 to 3 videos a day? Is the content interesting enough to bring in viewers and enough to start making a profit?

Both of these answers have to be a yes, to be a successful YouTuber. It really is a niche market these days, and becoming a full time YouTuber requires a lot of thought and know-how.

If you are asking a questionthen you must be ready for an honest awnser. Yes it sounds stupid. It is best to be something and put that something on youtube. If it takes off it takes off but if it doesnt then at least you are already something.

Stupidity has nothing to do with it. If you've done your homework, if YOU have rec'd a legitimate employment offer.....and if YOU have taken the time to research the bennies and are on board with all of it.....it will always up to you to pull the trigger. It's on [i]you[/i].

My opinion is that if you really wanted to do it you would have been doing it already for some time just for fun anyway. Doing it purely for money sounds like a bad idea to me.

I dunno; all I ever hear is how it's become nearly impossible to monetize on youtube and it's being taken on by some deep pockets as far as productions - people are throwing some intense hardware at their youtube creations. meanwhile, they're alienating both the original source content providers and the people who come to view that sort of raw, unrefined content. it might make more sense to move towards a position of making your own platform and bringing the right people along to compete with youtube and tiktoc or whatever next platform comes up.

Scared is what we all feel when starting a new career…. Trust yourself and go for it…

Do it. Plenty of youtubes on it. Be safe. Don't sell your soul. I believe in you.

Well, the market is very saturated. Sure, you have some successes, but countless more failures. Same with all social media related "jobs" out there. Influencers, OF "models", twitch streamers, just too much out there.

In short, try it as a hobby, but don't bank on it.

sounds like something that can be started as a hobbie and then if you are good at it and money starts coming in then you could quit your regular job and do that full time. so there really is no fear necessary, keep your regular job and do youtube part time until it become viable to do only youtube.

YouTubers are a dime a dozen these days. You hear about the really successful ones but you never hear about the tens of thousands that never make it.

Absolutely.. But as they say in the classics. "Dont give up your day job..." Do both until you are making double from Tubing than you do from your other job and literally dont have the time to go to work..😷

If you can make it there probably isn't a better career path for the average person.
I wouldn't put all against it though, have a steady career first.

... practice offline AND try and find out which YouTubers are successful and just parrody them, then eventually, you'll find your own unique style of YouTubing ... then go LIVE and blow them away 🤭🤭🤭
