I've had a couple get away.

The love of my life, from my late teen to really early 20's. I was messed up and drunk and cheated on her with her bestfriend. I confess to her and didn't even ask for her forgiveness because I felt in my heart that what I had done was unforgivable. We broke up of course.
A year and a half later I was engaged to be married to my second love and the first called, but I told her that I was getting married. 24 years later my wife passed.

I have a 'one that never materialized' we were never single at the same time but he admitted to having feelings once upon a time.

We last saw / messaged each other probably 7/8 years ago. Weirdly, he looked at one of my snap stories this Easter and I've never noticed him having ever looked at one of my stories ever before- honestly didn't think he even used the app. I thought about reaching out bit decided it best not to.

I don't have one that got away. My wife is "the one that got away" from several guys. She stays in contact with a couple of them.

I did set one loose years ago that I regret. Yet I married someone else's that got away. I lucked out.🍀
