Exactly! Romance seems to have disappeared among the young these days.

Its alive and well, with older folks and properly raised teens. Its how my husband got me...we dated a long time (seemed like a whirlwind to me) and then he proposed after going to see my parents and get their permission. My husband was raised old school! Today's kids don't want to work for anything , including love and making sure they have chosen well. Divorce attorneys will be making a killing in the newest generation.

Dating has changed so much since my wife and I dated in college. For example, this was on our afternoon date in the mountains. I think we actually became engaged that afternoon. I was dressed for the evening, but she did change into a dress before we went out that night.

Who wants to give her father a goat for permission to date her though? 🤷‍♂

But in this modern world it seems to be a hook up, instant gratification, no depth situationship.

It died out because most people didn't like it. They were just afraid to not keep it up because of social pressure.
