nobody should. your religion should be based on your beliefs, and not something someone else forces you into
Religious choice is a highly personal decision and should never be imposed.
My ex-wife was Roman Catholic. I attended church services with her, but never considered it my choice. Nevertheless, her religion didn't affect my love for her, nor should it.

No. I wouldn't pretend to believe in anything that I don't believe in.
Jessmari · 41-45
No, I'd just be faking it the whole time and that's not great.

I have learn being married to my spouse we share the same values and religion helps us be united .
iamBen · 61-69, M
No. I'd marry someone who practices a religion, but I would not participate in their religion.
Nope. i would not ask someone to convert, and i am not converting for anyone else.
twistedrope · 26-30, M
No. I'm an atheist and have no particular interest in religion. If a woman said I needed to be a religion, say muslim to marry them, we would simply not get married.
I have more important things to worry about then the delusions of a religious framework without credibility. I don't talk about religion because it never grants me anything I don't already have and only seeks to cause stress.

Nope. Accept me and my beliefs and if you can’t, you’re not my person
Starcrossed · 41-45, F
I can't just change my beliefs. They just exist as they are.
If I had been dealt a different partner in this life, I *might* potentially honor my partner's religious laws [eating/not eating certain foods, praying certain places/times, wearing religious garments] but that wouldn't change what I believed to be true spiritually.

Nope! If you love them and they love you, then you should accept each other's beliefs before you date and decide to marry.
ArtieKat · M
I have no religion - and I would expect any prospective partner to respect that.
exexec · 70-79, C
No, nor would I expect them to change their religion.
JimboSaturn · 51-55, M
I could not marry a religious person of any religion.
