In my younger days I was jealous and overprotective. After realizing how damaging and unfair it could be for relationships and your partner, and losing someone I loved because of it, I made a commitment to change.
Self-confidence and trust are the keys. It is something you can change if you truly want to, I know this firsthand.

Not at all, having examined the reason my exes ultimatum towards an open relationship bothered me at the time despite wanting the same things as her, I realized it all boiled down to fear that it would destablize the relationship and I'd lose her. Point being after agonizing over why for so long I came to realize I can surrender control and everything just as long as they return to me within a reasonable amount of time. You want to mess with other men and boys be my guest, just don't leave me.

I'm not usually jealous of people who succeeded in their hard work.. but like someone liking the same person I like and those two get along I would be jealous but at the same supportive.

I think it's okay to be jealous sometimes, it's just how you deal with that emotion.
