EP went through it's own up and downs. It was friendly and then it went through a dark period. I think we remember it with a lot more nostalgia.

I did like the stories section that was seperated by groups - miss that here.

@FlutteringWordsX 🤗 thank you... we have lost the distinction between questions, expecting answers, and stories£/reports, expecting comments.

there is very little here that encourages longer form writing, such as my Plague Diary (and some pre pandemic Diary series) and War Stories.

we have been infantilised, demanding instant gratification. and it was all so unnecessary.

👋🏻 I was there. Same name. I don’t remember when I joined, but I’m guessing around 2012 or 2013. I met some amazing people there.
EP was the Wild West compared to SW. I don’t remember seeing all of the whining and complaining posts that I see here.

I was on EP as well from 2012-2016 under a different username. I miss that site. When it was good, it was very good. I left before the end. It had changed so much and wasn't as good as it used to be.

@ExtremeNext I’m just really blessed that my reality is full and I’m happy. It was a dark time for me when I first joined experience project and I was rather lonely now I’m very happily re-married but I do miss some of the people on this site❤️

There seemed to be a lot more fun and light-hearted banter on EP. The last five years has seen a lot more political division both in the UK, with Brexit and in particular the US. That is reflected here in a noticeable schism and some entrenched and quite frankly rather tedious political ping-pong exchanges.

I don't know if things will ever get back to where they could. Time will tell.

I was in EP. Everyone says it was nicer, and I'd have to agree. But I don't think it's as much the place that's different, I think people have changed. The people create the atmosphere (imho).

I was in EP for a year or two, probably around 2012, not sure. Discovered it by accident, got hooked for a while, stopped, then went back later and it was gone. Eventually found SW which seemed a bit tame at first but I got used to it.

There was one combination of EP features that was both great but crazy at the same time. That is there was a group called "I live in a sexless marriage" and the members also could be searched for by state. Let the games begin!
