How Important is a relationship status to you?

Is it important these days that a guy "OFFICIALLY" asks the girl, "would you be my gf?"

I personally think it isn't, maybe back when I was in my teen years, sure, it is nice and romantic to hear that. But now I think what matters is what you and he feels. I don't understand how most of my girlfriends of my age complain and make such a big deal that their "boyfriends" never officially ask when clearly they are so into them and I know they don't fool around.. I mean, well isn't it obvious that you're together? lol..

I guess if you're my age, it is more like "are we doing this shit or not"

OK, I'm done rambling :D

@IstillmissEP: Some people express their feelings differently. What's good are the words when your action prove otherwise? that's what I'm trying to say :D you can be all romantic, lovey dovey, would you be my girl kinda thing but if you're still sneaking around with other girls... then what's the point? I believe guys are simple creatures.. once they are certain with one particular girl, they are set. window shopping sure, but they know they have a diamond so why look for pebbles ;)

I like to make my intentions known so there's no misunderstanding about either of us going out with other people or communicating with old boy friends or girlfriends

@Goralski: I got ya ;) girls should be smarter in reading obvious signs, as i have said before... guys are simple creatures.. we women are overthinking and overreacting ones >_<

@PaintedVeil: yes we are there's not enough blood and oxygen ta supply both of our brains:(

@Goralski: and that explains why you are bad in multitasking :( lol.. awww 🍫 here have a chocolate! :D

That's a good question to ask, it should be asked more then there's no confusion

@PaintedVeil: And note how this paranoia in these women is completely socially acceptable, yet if a man did it it'd automatically be bordering on abusive control?
PaintedVeil · 41-45, F
@pianoplayingsteve: it is a matter of point a view, every action must have reaction. i believe everyone has their own reasoning and background to do what they do. if he/she is worth it, fight for them until there is nothing left to fight for, nobody's perfect but they are worth fighting for at one point of their lives. i am with someone who is one of the most difficult men ive ever met, but he is worth every fight... that lucky bastid 😏

@pianoplayingsteve: women are emotional and (yes, girls are gonna hate me after this lol..) stupid creatures sometimes ;)
I guess when we are with them a lot it is taken for granted, and I have made a lot of mistakes not realizing that I was considered belonging to someone. *facepalm* I didnt know I was cheating or was I?😟

Aww :( well my personal experience, when I have set my heart and my eyes on someone, the fuck with others lol.. so I don't even have time to think of other guys.. and as long as this guy I like treats me well, and he knows how I feel, that's all I need to know. If in the end it doesn't work out - I deal with it then but the heart wants what it wants, and again, I live in the present... I won't let tomorrow stops me from being happy today ;)

I've never officially asked anyone to be my girlfriend no, but I've been in a relationship a few times. It just tends to happen over time tbh. Maybe ask about going out for a drink sometime, and then it progresses from there.

I like this "method" better! just flow :)

It is the entitlement mentality I swear! 😥
@PaintedVeil: agreed :)
PaintedVeil · 41-45, F
😃 when he does, you just knew, dont you think?
pianoplayingsteve · 31-35, M
Do you mean putting on fb that you are in a relationship etc? I see a lot of it as people using it as a trophy to make up for not having done much else with themselves.
PaintedVeil · 41-45, F
THAT's ONE! lmao... I have few gfs that are literally upset because the guys didn't put up their status as "in a relationship"... I'm sorry if i sounded mean but I was just lmfao... like, seriously?
