What is the difference between a white man dating a black woman and a black man dating a white woman?

Logical answers only, please. That means no gender discrimination, that's not logic. Some people on this site seem to think there is a difference between those two couples and I want to know what they mean. There is no difference where I live, so why should there be anywhere else?

No idea. And considering my GF is Black/Asian I can honestly say I don’t see an issue either way 🤷‍♂️

My two close friends are in mixed relationships, and generally have no trouble. The one with the white Male, Jamaican Female is currently in Las Vegas. Never discussed them having any issues My other friends, the Mexican (white complexion) female with black Male in Dallas once told me when asked about coming to visit when we lived in Atlanta, he said the issues he gets really come from black women.

No difference! People should be able to live their lives how they choose!

@Kevin19 Exactly!

Stereotype is that there's a trophy for black men to have white women. It's not for the opposite situation.
It's racist of course.

@HannahSky I'm from Manchester, hence my early reference to it in this thread. We're an equalitarian city, we are very anti-racism, very anti-sexism and very anti-all round discrimination. As Bob Marley would say, we're sick and tired of the ism schism. We were already sick of that before Bob Marley sang those words, and that was before I was born.

The lad I know in my street who is dating a black girl, if he thought in terms of "conquests" would surely consider his girlfriend a conquest to be proud of since she was one of the top athletes in school. Didn't history have examples like that?

@Crazychick I personally don't know people who are seriously hung up on race. I live in a very diverse area.
I think what you're saying is like the prom king and queen, or getting the most popular girl in school, that kind of social thing goes on for sure, but it's not related to race. It's a whole other dynamic lol popular vs not

Depending on your culture there are many taboo relationships. I dated a Jewish girl... it’s no big deal where I live but some places are extremely anti Semitic.@Crazychick

It originates from the gender roles of women to serve and be subservient to Men. So it is acceptable for Man to accept a woman from a lower status and woman to seek one from higher. The contrary is not welcomed.

Again all depends on from whose perspective it's seen.

@Crazychick apartheid , chauvinism etc. are traits that mutate just like microbes. If not for one it would be in another.
Crazychick · 36-40, F
@in10RjFox We got rid of those microbes around here before I was born.

@Crazychick have to see what it has moved to and asymptomatic..

My Cousin was a ginger and was married to a black woman. They were like anyone else.
I'm interested to hear what those reasons are, myself lol
Raythedevil · 56-60, M
I don't really see a difference myself.
Stormie · 46-50, F
I see no difference
in the states, there is a legend that scares white guys

"once you go black, you never go back" so they tend to anger/fear.
