I had a guy the other day tell me, "I'm 71 years old, got a 43 year old girl friend", then he showed me a photo on his phone that I'm sure his 43 year old girlfriend would not want shared.

I don’t like that this thought even exists because it implies that some men can be very meh about his love’s tidbits of awesomeness, which I know is an unfortunate reality that goes both ways. I get bragged on quite often and I doubt he’s the only man who likes to shine the light on his chick’s “hell yeah!” qualities.

Yes... I think men would be inclined to brag about their girlfriends and wives. However, socially it's not a thing anymore, so to a degree that's the primary deterrent why you don't hear it more.
