@BritishFailedAesthetic Ooo revival.... Yawn. I preached a sermon on Sunday morning. I was amazed when as the end of the sermon neared the church as a whole got up and moved to the communion table/altar in an act of revival repentance. I don't put much stock in revivals since they all too often lead to heresy. Ever heard of DL Moody? He was an American revivalist and around that time great movements like Jehovah Witnesses and Mormons and Seventh Day Adventism and in Evangelical Christian circles Pre Tribulation Dispensationalism. All of which have done great harm to the Christian Church in the West none more so than Dispensationalism and it corollary Pre Trib Rapture. The problem being once again that teaching is much like the 'confusion' around head covering. It goes against what the Bible teaches and the Church as believed for thousands of years. Have you ever read the Book of Jude? The passage that mentions the faith once received which means that new teachings such as dispensationalism or prosperity theology or seeker friendly services are a HUGE danger sign that Christian elders should stand opposed to.
@hippyjoe1955 I meant solid, biblical preaching. Not new movements.

@BritishFailedAesthetic And yet they and you say that the clear teachings of Paul are somehow confusing. I would challenge you to give an honest reading of 1 Corinthians 11:1-15 and tell me how that is at all confusing. Men should pray and prophecy with head uncovered and women should pray and prophecy head covered. Failing to do so puts the church outside of the Church's of God.

Yeah Marx was a Satanist. Not someone anyone should read.

You mean you made it up.
You will have to go into the history of the man. I don't have the time or the desire to spell it out for you.
You mean you made it up.

@DazzaTheHutt No but 5 minutes on Google will point you to lots of authors who say the same thing as me. Your ignorance really isn't my problem.

People just mimic what they see on social media. Reading a book is too tedious.
gol979 · 41-45, M
I have read marx but you disagree with my opinions on marxism/centralisation.
And people can express any view they want.

This goes for oh so many things. Social media abounds with "experts".
SSDecontrol · 56-60, M
He was a Jew. You lose all leftist cred by not hating him as instructed
LeopoldBloom · M
@RachelLia2003 You're the one who posted the Nazi propaganda, Adolf.
LeopoldBloom · M
@SSDecontrol Karl Marx wasn't a communist any more than Jesus Christ was a Christian. Both of those movements came later.

Marx is like the Bible, the Quran, and Darwin. People have opinions on them without reading them because those books are part of the culture. So you dont have to read them to be aware of their effects.
That being said, I wrote a point by point analysis of The Communist Manifesto where I show how Marx got it only half correct.

And whilst you are amusing yourself I know that there many more people out there who actually read Hitler's little oeuvre
Roundandroundwego · 61-69
@val70 naturally - looking around I'd say there is a right wing regime running things.
LeopoldBloom · M
@val70 My father-in-law, a Holocaust survivor, read Mein Kampf to better understand what he escaped. He said nothing Hitler did should have been a surprise, because he clearly stated in advance what he intended to do.
val70 · 51-55
@LeopoldBloom I'm sure that he didn't amuse himself much

Americans reject Communism and peace. Seems like we were far too compliant for the past century with their evil.
exchrist · 31-35
Happens all the time. Ive only read a bit but its really not as extreme as the uninformed make it out to be.
Guitarman123 · 31-35, M
@exchrist it isn't to be honest. He was really a social critic
DazzaTheHutt · M
Are you saying people can’t have an opinion?
That sounds more Stalinist than Marxist.

@DazzaTheHutt ive made it quite clear what im saying. Its amusing to express an opinion on something you have no knowledge about.
DazzaTheHutt · M
@Guitarman123 Glad you’re amused.
