I haven't even begun
😢
I'm going to owe money, I'm sure of it...it's why I'm procrastinating

@Ferric67 if I owed I'd probably wait till the last minute

@SooperSarah I like getting them done early as well. If I owe anything, I wait until the deadline to send in the payment, but I file the tax forms early.
@sarabee1995 I don't usually wait this long. Then all of a sudden it was march lol

Do people know that 'Goodwill Industries' does them + e-filing for Seniors free. I advise you to check your local listings.
Went to my CPA for 15+ years and always recieved a refund, well she retired.
Couple of ladies took over, so I decided to give them a chance twice.
I ended up paying them (not cheap) for their service and both State and Federal taxes both times.
Needless to say I was purturbed, but refrained from saying anything (argh!).

@eyeno that's good info but I'm not a senior. I buy the software from amazon and do them myself. I have a pretty simple return.

@SooperSarah I've a simple return also, as I don't own anything. Still, there are free tax services out there available to the public.
My Ex once said to me, "Why don't you do them yourself !".
I said in response.
"Because CPA'S and the like do it for a living throughout the year, keeping up with new tax laws, etc. and know all the loopholes/ deductions that can be had.".
She said it in a way as if to challenge my my decision.
Sure enough she and I were amazed at how much I got back that year.
She shut her mouth and had a look of self doubt wondering if she'd made the right decision all those years by doing them herself.

I hate financial math, we have a guy who does our taxes and my mother’s taxes too.

If your tax liability is +/- $100, you definitely deserve it.

@Matt85 I agree. The government already has all this info. But I have to go through the same process they do so we can compare answers.

@Jonjdw they owe me too, which is why I don't wait too long.
