The rapture actually did occur. There were just so few true Christians that no one noticed. Maybe 10-12 missing persons reports have been filed. And a few dozen other people wonder where grandma or grandpa went.
That's about it.
That's about it.

@MoveAlong
You know, that actually could be true. 😬
I noticed Joel Osteen is still here. ANYways...
But on the second part -
Did they escape the Alzheimer's ward again?

They got everything they wanted so they should be happy, yet they’re not happy. Perhaps what they won made them more unhappy?? They process information in a strange way.
It was supposed to be September 23rd, but like every other time, the one who made that claim realized he used the wrong calendar after nothing happened and rescheduled it for October 7th.

@NerdyPotato I imagine the biggest offender was Edgar C. Whisenant. 1988, 89, 93, 94. He kept writing books about it.
How do they use the wrong calendar though? Okay, call me nutty but I would THINK if someone were predicting some minor event like the end of the world or rapture, wouldn't they at least make sure they had the correct calendar?
Even people who are NOT in the business of predicting "The End" don't typically have an incorrect calendar laying around.
OHH an get this - so if they have the wrong calendar, imagine how p*ssed off their wives are when the husband forgets their anniversary. OHHH wait, maybe THAT is why they predict the Rapture, they wish to escape their wife's wrath.
Well that clears it up :D

@HoeBag they use our current calendar because indeed they usually don't have another one laying around. Only when nothing happens, they realize they should have used the calendar used when the hints were written, which actually makes sense.
What's curious though is that they make the same mistake every time. It's almost like if these people don't want to learn from anything that happened after the biblical times.

@NerdyPotato Learning requires growth. If all you want to do is die, why grow?
