It doesn't take long to lose it. I learned that in college after having knee surgery and being in a cast for 10 weeks. It took a lot of hard work to regain any endurance.

I underestimated how quickly my body would blob out as I got more sedentary. I'm having to work harder to get where I want to be.
Yes I took some days off work for my exams and I could feel my legs losing all their strength from sitting almost all day long.

Unfortunately atrophy accelerates as we get older as well so as we age we can't get away with nearly as much as we could when we was younger.

So true. I use to be able to dunk a basketball. Now you have trouble slipping a piece of paper under my vertical 😅
