It's crazy how fast you can lose your athletic ability

At my last job, I was constantly on my feet, chasing kids around. I could run for awhile before getting tired. Now, I'm more sedentary, with school and only working 2 days a week. I was so out of breath speed walking up the hill. I have to get my stamina back😭

It doesn't take long to lose it. I learned that in college after having knee surgery and being in a cast for 10 weeks. It took a lot of hard work to regain any endurance.

I underestimated how quickly my body would blob out as I got more sedentary. I'm having to work harder to get where I want to be.
Yes I took some days off work for my exams and I could feel my legs losing all their strength from sitting almost all day long.

I never thought I'd loose the ability to be light on my feet. So wrong...

Unfortunately atrophy accelerates as we get older as well so as we age we can't get away with nearly as much as we could when we was younger.
Working from home will so that to you. Its good to have an exercise routine

So true. I use to be able to dunk a basketball. Now you have trouble slipping a piece of paper under my vertical 😅

Kids are an amazing workout. They somehow have more energy than a fully grown adult.
love to see you run.

Use it or lose it, as the saying goes
