My dad was 98.5 when he passed and while he was older - I still saw in him the 35 year old guy I knew when I was 5....

In a way we change, in a way we don't
@fun4us2b The brain stays young, the body ages. Stay away from mirrors.

My Grandmother just turned 86, yesterday and she's barely feels a day over 50.
There are some folks here in their 80s, and they’re really cool. With interesting stories to tell. My father just turned 94 and is still pretty sharp, too.

in my 40s I could lift 200kg
Now I find it hard to lift 70
Only my grandma knows but then she isn’t 80 yet.

Everything takes longer.... it's like a long, slow retreat

Have you ever experienced the stiffness and soreness a person can feel a day or two after doing hard physical activity that they usually never do???

When you get old thats how you feel BEFORE you even attempt to do hard physical activity..

Actually it takes warming up doing some activity before you can feel a bit younger.. Less sore and stiff.. But of course you end up paying for the activity later, lol

Hit me up in a few years I'll let you know! Usually if you live that long in the first place, those shouldn't be hard years. When it comes to a natural end it's like a tree falling in the storm...

I’m only 69 but it sucks to be old
Gibbon · 70-79, M
I'm 72 and that's close enough to say it sucks
Only if you live till that age you might become soft and mushy, no teeth so mashed potatoes and some pills will be everyday food.
I work with that population and it can be pretty inspiring to see some guys that age still get around well and be mentally sharp. Unfortunately I do think they are the exception rather than the norm 😟

I'm not quite there, but getting old isn't for sissies. When you wake up in the morning, you check to see if everything is working. If something is amiss, you try to figure out how to deal with it.

My grandmother is a bit sad about all of her friends and family are dying before she is. Categorizing groups. Like me and so and so are the last ones alive 😐
It sucks. It is painful and degrading
ChipmunkErnie · 70-79, M
No idea, but 75 sucks.
Birdbox1986 · 31-35, F
I don’t know I’m not that old
