Well all right, the art is back! 🙂
I pass out and get needed rest.

@Pfuzylogic only a bit. It’s helping but I doubt I'll have time for it most days.
Pfuzylogic · M
@boklenholley7 You are a natural with fractal designs. Just enjoy!
boklenholley7 · F
@Pfuzylogic thanks that's the goal :)
I watch things on YouTube, I might study, draw, and sometimes even cry, and then I feel better. But mostly I try to get out of that mood and think positive. I think your outlet of drawing is very good and it's very beautiful. I enjoy writing at times, as well.
boklenholley7 · F
@LadyGrace that's basically what I do too. Sometimes you just need a good cry. Thanks
@boklenholley7 Yes. I've actually been crying the last couple days I'm going through such a hard time right now. I'm losing my mobility and I don't know how much longer I can use my walker at all. I need two knee Replacements, that they're so painful. My sister just had a knee replacement and she said please don't ever get that. It's the hardest thing she's ever done.

It depends on what is stressing me, but removing myself from the source is my best way. That could mean a walk, a ride out on a bus or train on my own, having a coffee with a friend or just locking myself in my home with my favourite YT travelogue presenters. Sadly, my former delight of reading is no longer an option as my concentration levels are reduced. That's also why I can't just get into the car and drive for pleasure.
boklenholley7 · F
@FreddieUK I'm sorry to hear you can't enjoy reading anymore. Have you given audiobooks a try maybe? Great suggestions though.
ChiefJustWalks · 26-30
Woah that's really cool. It'd hurt my hand after a while I think lol.
Playing with my kid always soothes me. Or listening to calming music. Maybe smoking some weed

@ChiefJustWalks thank you! Unfortunately, I smoke far too much just normally let alone when I'm stressed. 🤪😬
Awake time: I go to YouTube and dial in one of those 1930s/40s music sites, the ones that go for a few hours nonstop. Then project it to follow me anywhere in the house. Mostly upbeat, happy songs. AND find unemotional tasks that require some concentration or focus, like do the laundry, wash the dishes, etc. I always have a stack of those tasks waiting for the next time I feel stressed :)
Time to sleep time: I also go to YouTube and dial in one of those thunderstorm, heavy rain sites, one with a black screen. Then turn out the lights and find a pleasant sleep position. Works every time :)

@Heartlander Yeh, those heavy rains sites do work well. They're very comforting and some of the music on YouTube, as well.

Get to the meaning of whats hurting you...mumble talk to yourself give yourself the space to hash it out so to speak, and make big rules for yourself, like dont do anything too quick or any kind of forceful...and then pull out the brushes or walking shoes or some kind of good ideas.
