We still get a newspaper delivered every morning. Nothing better than sitting in front of the fire in the woodstove on a cold morning, reading the paper and doing the puzzles.

I like to read my newspaper at breakfast time - a real one on paper.
I save the cryptic crossword to solve while my evening meal is the oven.

@emmasfriend i do miss the physical newspaper and crossword! Was never as good at the cryptic one though!

Well, not for the same purposes. There usually ARE phone numbers in the newspaper, but when you call them it’s nobody you want to talk to.
ArishMell · 70-79, M
@Mamapolo2016 A lot of larger companies now will not publish 'phone numbers or even postal addresses, because using web-sites mean they can protect themselves from anything except orders.

@ArishMell Maybe I’ll build me a website!

My dad still uses phone books. Had no interest in doing anything electronic.

Telephone Directory- occasionally. Although far slimmer than it used to be, it still holds many important local numbers.
Newspaper - The local one, yes, for news, notices of local events like public lectures, and its cryptic crossword

I still read physical books.
I may read a newspaper from time to time, though mainly for the funny papers
And more than just using phone books, I memorize them.

Never buy a newspaper and can't remember the last time I needed a telephone directory. So many people are no longer listed, I don't bother to look them up.

We get the county daily newspaper and the Sunday big city newspaper.
