No, I wouldn't. There is no reason to stop someone from bringing in their own snacks other than the fact that the movie theater isn't making any money off of them buying snacks. And let's be honest they don't need that extra money what with the bloated price of movie tickets these days.

A buddy worked at a theater when we were teens . Lots of free movies in the late 80’s. Haha
I won't stop popcorn, sweets and soft drinks - the sort of things cinemas sell in the foyer... but no alcohol or hot meals. Just use some common sense.

You mean they will actually check your bag?

Depends on the boss's rules

Well, I might have something to say if they rolled a bar cart into the back row of the theater, but other than that, I'd just let it go.

@swirlie You can imagine there might be some rent-a-cops at some theatres who think they are actual police who would be like, "Ma'am, this theater does not permit outside food nor drinks."
Standing there with a crew cut and his d4mned shades, arms crossed, like he is standing in the way of espionage. 😄

No because the money doesn't come out of my pocket and with the skyrocketing cost of tickets hot dogs and the greed of Hollywood I would purposely turn a blind eye
